As a flirty holiday touch Padme is seen holding up mistletoe. This particular piece is #304/800. The Padme Snowbunny Mini Bust has been a very hot seller on Ebay over the last week and one of the reasons maybe the continuing popularity of the Padme Snowbunny Maquette issued by Gentle Giant a couple years back. Lord Of Darkness

Hello everyone here I have the Lord Of Darkness from sideshow collectibles. This statue is my favorite in my collection he looks like he jumped right out of the movie legend, for those of you that don't know who this character is he's from the movie legend that was released in 1985, Tim Curry was the one underneath all that makeup in the movie and I must say he did a wonderful job playing that character. This sculpt is very detailed and looks so real the fabric costuming is incredibly elaborate, combining more than ten different fabrics and other materials. The specs are 23" H x 15" W x 15" D so this guy is huge and really makes a presence in any collection.

As you can see sideshow didn't miss any detail they sculpted a full body and painted it even though most of it is covered up with fabric, gotta love sideshow for that. Thanks for checking us out, till next time. Happy collecting everyone.

Holy Croc Batman!

Bursting into your collection comes the Batman Vs. Killer Croc diorama from DC Direct. The statue is part of the classic confrontations line that they have released and it may be the best Batman statue to date (in my opinion).

The statue's dynamic pose and detailing are amazing. It measures 16.5" high X 12.75" wide X 9.75" deep. Ray Villafane (sculpter) has captured Bats & Croc in the climax of a heated battle.Batman is depicted in full battle mode towering over Croc. Cape flowing and batterang swooshing around Croc's snout as a knee is delivered in a furious attempt to defeat the Croc & save not only Gotham but himself from Croc's destruction.
Croc is a tremendous sculpt himself as well. Every single aspect of this villan is meticulously sculpted & detailing makes the drama of this scene come to life. Croc has a couple of batterangs piercing through his scaly body but it really isn't clear who has the ultimate advantage. He will finally defeat Batman and bring mayhem to Gotham City.Another amazing part of the statue is the illusion of the rubble floating in the air as Croc breaks though the street and out of a Gothan City man-hole. Skeletons adorn the floor as Croc has feasted underground & they came up in the breakage. Attention to detail is without a doubt the deal sealer for this statue.

The paint job on this is perfectly excecuted. Batman is in a classic uniform with the yellow utility belt. Croc's color pallette is a work of art in and of itself. It has to be seen live to really take in how even the smallest detail wasn't overlooked. Even the sewer cap has the rust element applied to it. Amazing job by DC Direct all the way around!

This statue comes highly recommended. Easily tops in the Classic Confrontations line & definately a must have for any Batman fan. Until next time...Happy Collecting! - Loop

Up next...GALACTUS!

Greetings one and all. I am really excited to bring you the Galactus Legendary Scale bust by Sideshow collectibles. Without a doubt this piece is the "Bar setter" in this line which Sideshow has released. It measures 21" in height X 15" in width X 12" in depth and weighs approx. 15 LBS. The regular edition size of this bust is Ltd 1250 pieces (this one is #585); while the Exclusive run is ltd to only 150 pieces. The difference between the Ex and the Regular is a Galactus name plate which of course comes with the EX version. Both versions also include a smaller scale sculpt of Silver Surfer to be displayed with the bust further making this masterpiece a must have in your statue collection!

The sculpt and paint job are truly amazing on this one. From the pores on his face to the gritty space dust and erosion particles all over his head and body its all there. The snarl he is expressing brings the bust to life. And the scale really makes it blend in even with the biggest pieces in your collection. This is really close to being the size of a human head folks.... really impressive. Sideshow did not miss a beat and all the little things tie into making this devourer of worlds the showcase that this bust truly is. *Note: The particles appear to be paint flaws on his head and body but THEY ARE NOT...the paint job on this was meant to be like that so don't be discouraged :) Also the blades on either side of his head are detatchable so becareful when handling him.

Don't miss out on this one if you can. I highly recommend this bust (as if you didn't know that by now) and guarantee you that it won't dissapoint. Until next time...Happy collecting! -Loop

Sideshow collectibles Sabretooth Premium Format Exclusive

Here's my Sabretooth Premium Format Exclusive from SS. The piece is an amazing representation of Victor "Sabrettoth" Creed in the brown uniform. Both hands up to the forearms are removable and so is the portrait. The base was done in accordance with the Wolverine premium format base for those that wish to display these two fierce enemies together. The portrait in itself along with the alternate "grinning" portrait are superbly done. The fabric lays perfectly on the piece showing the detail in the sculpt throughout. The base is lighter than expected and partially hollow. Overall an amazing piece and if you picked up the wolverine,a must have. Enjoy. LK7
